Rhode Island
While Rhode Island does fairly well in ACT (22.8,
compared to 21.5 for North Dakota), their teacher education majors perform the
worst (18.9, compared to 20.7 for North Dakota and 19.5 for California).
They score lower than blacks in graduate studies in North Dakota (19.0) AND in
California (19.3), and almost 8 points lower than Engineering and letters majors
there and science majors in California. The only students who scored lower
(at 17.0) were the Trade and Industrial students, and there were only three of
them.
