niddah: exiled, not
separated or put apart
Don't Defile
the Israelite Race
and said unto them, Hear
me, ye Levites; now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of Jehovah, the God of
your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness
out of the holy place. 2Ch 29:5
Of 32 occurrences of the word
"niddah" in the Holy Bible, the following is the only Scripture where all major
translators agree with the KJV translators that it's a reference to a menstrous woman:
Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman
to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart
for her uncleanness. Lev 18:19 (KJV)
Lev 18:19 `And unto a woman in the separation of her uncleanness thou dost not draw
near to uncover her nakedness. Lev 18:19 (YLT)
As illustrated by the following
Scripture, this word is usually translated by the KJV translators as filthiness, impurity,
removed, defiled, unclean, uncleanness, unclean thing, separated one, separated woman, and
a removed woman, from the "people of the lands", as well as in the lands they
inhabited, filthiness and impurity which can be removed from holy places, gold which
becomes impure, fountains for inabitants for impurity. All of this raises questions
about the justification for using this word as a reference to a menstrous woman.
2Ch 29:5 And said559 unto them, Hear8085 me, ye Levites,3881 sanctify now yourselves,6942, 6258 and sanctify6942 (853) the house1004 of the
LORD3068 God430 of your fathers,1 and carry forth3318 (853) the filthiness5079 out of4480 the holy6944 place.
The following Strong's definition for
niddah further confuses the real meaning, and excludes the importance of racial purity to
the House of Israel made very clear in other Scripture:
H5079
nidda^h
nid-daw'

MENSTROUS WOMAN, SEPARATED
ONE, OR EXILE?
Where the KJV translators viewed
niddah as a reference to menstrous, separated, or set apart women four times, the YLT
interpreted this to be a reference only to people, and not to women, in
three of them:
Lam 1:17
Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and
there is
none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should
be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them. (KJV)
Zion spreads forth her hands; there is none to comfort her; Yahweh
has commanded concerning Jacob, that those who are round about him should be his
adversaries: Jerusalem is among them as an unclean thing.
