120 women have said they were assaulted.

Justin Huggler, Telegraph, January 6, 2016

For German women, 2016 has got off to a shocking start.

Dozens of women trying to see in the New Year in the centre of Cologne found themselves trapped in a crowd of some 1,000 men, who groped them, tore off their underwear, shouted lewd insults and threw fireworks at them.

To make matters worse, a series of sexual assaults that would normally make headline news went almost completely unreported for five daysand the scale of what happened that night in the western German city is only now emerging.

Women looking for reassurance from the authorities, therefore, were shocked when Henriette Reker, the mayor of Cologne and a survivor of a far-Right assassination attempt, said that German women should behave according to a certain code of conduct.

She made a public announcement advising women to travel in groups and stay at arms length from men they did not know to avoid such attacks happening to them.

This means they should go out and have fun, but they need to be better prepared, especially with the Cologne carnival coming up.

For this, we will publish online guidelines that these young women can read through to prepare themselves, she said.

Her comments have been condemned and met with accusations of victim blaming by womens rights campaigners.

To cap it all, a Cologne city councillorfar-Right activist Judith Wolterhas written an open letter declaring the city centre unsafe and a no-go area for women.

It may seem alarmist, but this is all highly unusual in a country where women are generally used to a high degree of personal safety. In recent years, the number of rape cases and associated offences in Germany has fallen by around 8 per cent.

In Hamburg, where a series of attacks also took place on New Years Eve, bouncers warned women not to leave nightclubs because of an increasingly hostile crowd on the streets.

But the warning was so unusual that several women ignored it and were sexually assaulted by those waiting outside.

The reason so many women in Cologne were caught up in the violence was because they believed the area around the main station would be safe.

Police have now confirmed that sex attacks took place in three cities: Cologne, Hamburg and Stuttgart. So far around 120 women have come forward, claiming to be victims.

The first accounts are now trickling out of Germany. Witnesses have told newspapers that men were entering bars and clubs, grabbing womens backsides.

One woman only identified at Katia L, 28, told the Cologne tabloid Express that she and three friends were stopped by a group of foreign looking men outside the station.

Suddenly I felt a hand on my bottom, then on my breasts, then I was groped everywhere. It was horrible. Although we screamed and flailed about, the guys didnt stop. I was beside myself and think that I was touched about 100 times.

Evelyn, 24 and a student from Rheinland-Pfalz, was also at Cologne train station.

As reported in newspaper Bild, she said: I had a knee-length skirt on, and suddenly I felt a hand on my backside under my dress. I turned round immediately and saw a grinning face.

She fled into the cathedral where she was surrounded again. The only English they knew was Hey Baby. I was grabbed and held by the arm and it was a nightmare. We were trapped in a mass of people.

Eighteen-year-old Michelle told German television channel N-TV that she was surrounded by a group of 30 men, who were full of anger, and we had to make sure that none of us were pulled away by them. They were groping us and we were trying to get away as quickly as possible.

Lea Westkamp, 19, added: I was surrounded and helpless. I could do nothing. These men were all over me.

While a series of sexual assaults this serious seems unlikely in the UK, it is equally unlikely that any major British city would have so small a police presence in its centre on New Years Eve.

Officers in Cologne were overwhelmed by crowds of men. Witnesses described them watching helplessly and one unnamed policeman told Bild newspaper: If you spoke to a suspect you were immediately surrounded by his friends. It was threatening.

What makes this highly unusual situation even more combustible are police reports that the crowd of attackers was made up of men of North African or Arab appearance.

There have been allegations of a police cover-up for fear of setting off racial tensions.

The sexual assaults were barely reported by the German press until five days after they took place, and a former interior minister has accused the media of observing a news blackout and code of silence because of the ethnicity of those involved.

At the heart of this is the possibility that the perpetrators may be among the 1.1m asylum-seekers who arrived in Germany last year under Angela Merkels widely-criticised open-door refugee policesomething thats already threatened to rock her seemingly unshakeable Chancellorship.

The government has been quick to announce there is no evidence that refugees were involved. The far-Right was as quick to say that theres no evidence they werent.

Many German women are now beginning to voice fears that their personal safety is being compromised in the name of political correctness.

On Tuesday night, hundreds of protestors gathered in front of the cathedral in Cologne, demanding for more respect for women.

Female demonstrators waved signs reading: Mrs Merkel. What are you doing? This is scary.

Ms Reker, who only last year was hailed as a heroine after she survived an assassination attempt over her support for refugees, has been widely mocked for her advice to German women in the wake of the assaults.

Its not women who have to change their behaviour, but the men who are so rough, Manuela Schwesig, the German minister for families, said. The days in which women couldnt wear miniskirts are over.

Politically correct excuses just make people angry, Christian Pfeifferm a leading German criminologist, told Weltnewspaper.

What bothered me in the recent reporting of Cologne was the bland assertion that it wasnt refugees. This is as if they were afraid of the possibility.

Now, though, the taboo appears to have been broken. Thomas de Maiziere, the interior minister, has called for asylum-seekers who break the law in Germany to be deported.

For the women caught up in Colognes New Years Eve catastrophe, its not the answer and does little to make them less apprehensive about the year ahead.

New Year's sex assaults stoke German migrant debate

Berlin (AFP) - German leaders expressed shock over dozens of apparently coordinated sexual assaults against women on New Year's Eve in the western city of Cologne blamed on "Arab-looking men," but warned against anti-migrant scapegoating.

Chancellor Angela Merkel called for a thorough investigation of the "repugnant" attacks, ranging from groping to at least one reported rape, allegedly committed in a large crowd of revellers during year-end festivities outside the city's main train station and its famed Gothic cathedral.

Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert said she had called Cologne's mayor, Henriette Reker, to express her "outrage" over the violence, which she said required "a tough response from the state".

"Everything must be done to find as many of the perpetrators as possible as quickly as possible and bring them to justice, regardless of their origin or background," Seibert quoted Merkel as saying.

Police in Cologne said they had received 90 criminal complaints by Tuesday and quoted witnesses as saying that groups of 20-30 young men "who appeared to be of Arab or North African origin" had surrounded victims, assaulted them and in several cases robbed them.

Germany took in around one million asylum seekers in 2015, many of them fleeing war-ravaged Syria.

A plain-clothes policewoman was reportedly among those attacked.

"We assume more people will come forward," police chief Wolfgang Albers told reporters.

The northern port city of Hamburg also reported around 10 similar attacks.

On Tuesday evening 200-300 people, according to police estimates, gathered in front of Cologne cathedral calling for more respect for women.

One female demonstrator held a sign reading: "Mrs. Merkel, what are you doing? This is scary".

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere lashed out at Cologne police for failing to stop the assaults.

"The police cannot work in this way," de Maiziere told public TV channel ARD.

Police said they evacuated the area because of fears people could be injured by fireworks -- and admitted the assaults then began without them realising what was happening.

"It is not acceptable that the square could be evacuated and then (the attacks) take place" in the same location, with officers "waiting for complaints" from victims before taking action, de Maiziere said.

"I am urgently demanding clarification."

Justice Minister Heiko Maas said the assaults represented "a new dimension of crime that we will have to get to grips with," adding that they had appeared to be "coordinated".

Asked by a journalist whether refugees were behind the rampage, Maas said police were still working to identify the attackers.

"This is not about where someone is from but what they did," he said.

"Making an issue out of it, lumping it together with the refugee issue, is nothing but exploitation. Now is the time to determine the facts and then decide on the necessary consequences."

Meanwhile the right-wing populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which hopes to gain seats in three regional elections in March, seized on the attacks as "a result of unchecked immigration".

"Here we see the appalling consequences of catastrophic asylum and migration policies on Germany's everyday reality," party leader Frauke Petry said.

The Cologne daily Koelner Stadt-Anzeiger said many of the suspects were already known to police due to a rash of pickpocketing and muggings near the railway station.

Victims described terrifying scenes in the marauding mob.

Katja L., 28, said she was with three friends outside the station when they encountered a group of "foreign-looking men".

"Suddenly I felt a hand on my bottom, then on my breasts, then I was groped everywhere," she told Cologne tabloid Express.

"It was horrible. Although we screamed and flailed about, the guys didn't stop. I was beside myself and think that I was touched about 100 times across around 200 metres (yards)."

A woman in her 30s interviewed on rolling news channel N24 said she was groped by a group of "Arab-looking men".

"They didn't look at me aggressively, they seemed more curious than anything, and a little drunk," she said.

"I was furious."

Cologne mayor Reker, who was stabbed in the neck in October in an attack apparently over her welcoming stance toward refugees, called a crisis meeting with political officials and police Tuesday after the case made national headlines.

She pledged to step up security and violence-prevention measures ahead of next month's raucous Carnival, which draws hundreds of thousands to party in the city's streets.

Albers said security cameras and better lighting would be installed for the February 4-10 event, including around the main rail station.

Merkel in her televised New Year's address called on Germans to continue to welcome refugees despite mounting criticism and to reject far-right ideologues whipping up anti-migrant sentiment.

A new estimate of the U.S. Muslim population

By 1 comment

Total American Muslim population share projected to growPew Research Center estimates that there were about 3.3 million Muslims of all ages living in the United States in 2015. This means that Muslims made up about 1% of the total U.S. population (about 322 million people in 2015), and we estimate that that share will double by 2050.

Our new estimate of Muslims and other faiths is based on a demographic projection that models growth in the American Muslim population since our 2011 estimate and includes both adults and children. The projection uses data on age, fertility, mortality, migration and religious switching drawn from multiple sources, including the 2011 survey of Muslim Americans.

According to our current estimate, there are fewer Muslims of all ages in the U.S. than there are Jews by religion (5.7 million) but more than there are Hindus (2.1 million) and many more than there are Sikhs.

In some cities Muslims comprise significantly more than 1% of the community. And even at the state level Muslims are not evenly distributed: Certain states, such as New Jersey, have two or three times as many Muslim adults per capita as the national average.

Recent political debates in the U.S. over Muslim immigration and related issues have prompted many to ask how many Muslims actually live in the United States. But coming up with an answer is not easy, in part because the U.S. Census Bureau does not ask questions about religion, meaning that there is no official government count of the U.S. Muslim population.

Since our first estimate of the size of the Muslim American population in 2007, we have seen a steady growth in both the number of Muslims in the U.S. and the percentage of the U.S. population that is Muslim.

In addition, our projections suggest the U.S. Muslim population will grow faster than the Hindu population and much faster than the Jewish population in the coming decades. Indeed, even before 2040, Muslims are projected to become the second-largest religious group in the U.S., after Christians. By 2050, the American Muslim population is projected to reach 8.1 million people, or 2.1% of the total population.

Just over half of the projected growth of the American Muslim population from 2010 to 2015 is due to immigration. Over the last 20 years, there has been an increase in the number of Muslim immigrants coming to the U.S. The number of Muslim immigrants currently represents about 10% of all legal immigrants arriving in the U.S., and a significantly smaller percentage of unauthorized immigrants.

The other main cause of Islams recent growth is natural increase. American Muslims tend to have more children than Americans of other religious faiths. Muslims also tend to be younger than the general public, so a larger share of Muslims will soon be at the point in their lives when people begin having children.

There has been little net change in the size of the American Muslim population in recent years due to conversion. About one-in-five American Muslim adults were raised in a different faith or none at all. At the same time, a similar number of people who were raised Muslim no longer identify with the faith. About as many Americans become Muslim as leave Islam.

This author lived in a Muslim nation for 13 months and never met a single Muslim who wasn't a perfect Gentleman, so it was a shock to return to the U.S. and see how our jew run "news" media was running Muslims and Arabs into the ground.  Fifty percent of their "News" stories are plain flat-out lies, and the fifty percent which are accurate are so unbelievable that most Americans don't believe it anyway, so this is not an easy topic to discuss with most Americans. One of my most favorite professors was a thesis advisor who was a Muslim, who became more of a friend than a teacher, something few other professors ever took the time to do.  A Muslim friend, who's here on an asylum petition, just returned there to go to his father's funeral, which I suspected might cause some problems for him.  But he even took his son, and he seemed surprised when I asked him if he had visa or passport problems--so much for the rigor of our asylum program.

I've had many long discussions about their homelands and religion and race, and even though the religions are far more similar than most people realize, and even though Arabs and Persians are of a White race, my candid observation is that the cultural differences are too vast, we gain nothing from their presence, and they're better off there than here.  Furthermore, it's obvious that most Muslims could, and would want to, return to their homeland if given the opportunity.  Nobody is more qualified than me to make the following candid observation, not made out of hate, but for love for my brethren which Muslims are not and which they know they are not:

It's time for all Muslims to be restored to their homelands.

No Muslim belongs here.  This is OUR country, not theirs. Most of all, our Founding Fathers spilt BLOOD to gain us this homeland, and we must not give it up so easily.

If we had had a crime rate equivalent to Turkey's, just last year we would have had 543,860 fewer assaults, 116,440 fewer rapes, 670,808 fewer robberies, 14,806,908 fewer thefts, 305,300 fewer frauds, 648,372 fewer drug arrests, and 2,599,736 fewer juvenile delinquents, and the resulting lower demands on our justice system would have meant that 29,820 fewer judges and 41,180 fewer prosecutors would have been necessary to run our legal system.

Even though Turkey's overall crime rate in 1990 was 189, 1/30th of ours (at 5,803) they're not the only Muslim country with much lower crime rates than the US.  Iraq's is half that of Turkey.  Egypt's is one fourth that of Iraq.  Bottom line:  our crime rate in 1990 was 175 TIMES higher than Egypt's crime rate.  And the crime rates in many other countries, Muslim or not, decreased during a period of time when ours increased.  For example, during the same time that our murder rate increased ten fold, the murder rate in Japan declined 22%. Just in the last 20 years, Japan's incarceration rate declined 11%, but our incarceration rate quintupled in that time. However,  many Muslim countries have much lower overall crime rates than we do, which means that John Ashcroft's moral authority in questioning the efficacy of Islam is seriously lacking [read: nonexistent].

Qatar's crime rate in 1994 was half what it was in 1980. This suggests that they (like many other Muslim countries) have their crime problems under control, particularly since their 1994 crime rate was one seventh of ours. Syria's rate in 1994 was 1/11th of their rate in 1980, and 1/316th of our 1994 rate. India's crime rate decreased dramatically between 1980 and 1997, from 575 to 179, which is a 69% decrease, and which was 1/30th of ours.  The only years reported for Iraq show that their trend is downward, too, by 41% between 1990 and 1994, to a crime rate that's 1/46th of ours. The crime rate in Indonesia in 1994 was 1/67th of ours.

Are there any Muslim nations whose crime rates come even close to ours? No.  Why would we, the country called "the great satan" by Muslim nations, have a crime rate 316 TIMES higher than Syria's?  Could there be any truth to their claims?

When the rate at which niggers kill your fellow White Christian Americans is higher than the entire murder rate in many other civilized countries, and when the "news" refuses to even report on it and instead talks endlessly about James Byrd for two years, then we live in a real crime zone. Feminists would rather whine forever about Anne Frank who died half a century ago than to even concern themselves about the 49 Americans who were murdered yesterday.

So which country harbors the terrorists?  One man's floor is another man's ceiling. An "infantryman" to us is a terrorist to Muslims. Who's ahead in this game? According to the UN, and confirmed by the Catholic Church, our blockade of Iraq and our poisoning of their water supply has killed as many as a million people--most of them non-combatants like women and children.

And how many Americans have died at the hands of Muslims? We don't even KNOW if it wasn't Ariel Sharon who orchestrated this just so he could blame it on the Arabs, but even if we accepted this phony baloney story at face value, they have at most 3,000 Americans under their belt.

What's the ratio? Just in this one instance, it's 1:333 [read: one dead American to 333 dead Muslims].
