Geber That the sons of God beheld that the daughters of Adam were fair; and they took all of them who they chose as wives. There were Nephil in the land in those days who also, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of Adam begat those Geebor who ever since were the Ish by name. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. Genesis 6:4 There were giants [nephil] in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men [Adam], and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men [Geebor] which [were] of old, men [Ish] of renown. Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
This Scripture tells us that:
GEBER WEREN'T THAT TALL We can grant a certain amount of poetic license to Numbers 13:33 by not believing that the Nephil were larger than Adamites by a proportion similar to how much larger Adamites were than than grasshoppers, which would make the Nephil at least 100 feet tall:
If Nephil were able to mate with daughters of Adam, then common sense tells us that they couldn't have been more than twice as tall. GEBER AND ISH WERE CAPTURED ALONG WITH ISRAELITES Jer 41:16 Then took3947 Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 that834 were with854 him, (853) all3605 the remnant7611 of the people5971 whom834 he had recovered7725 from4480, 854 Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah,5418 from4480 Mizpah,4709 after310 that he had slain5221 (853) Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam,296 even mighty1397 men376 of war,4421 and the women,802 and the children,2945 and the eunuchs,5631 whom834 he had brought again7725 from Gibeon:4480, 1391Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that [were] with him, all the remnant of the Israelites whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam; Geber; Ish of war, Isha, and their children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Gibeon: GEBER WERE CHIEF JANITORS If "geber" is merely a pronoun which refers to "mighty men" as most dictionaries tell us, rather than a proper noun referring to a people called "Geber", then why did all the translators, including the KJV translators, universally conclude that it means only "chief janitors" in 1 Chronicles 9:26?: 1Ch 9:26 For these Levites, the four chief [Geber] porters [sho are = janitor], were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God. For these Levites, the four Geber janitors, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God. GEBER DIDN'T FEAR BEHEMAH And why would they insert the word "lion" in Proverbs 30:30 when the Hebrew word for lion, "aryeh" [Strong's #738], which appears in 80 other instances of the Scripture, isn't even in this chapter, in addition to changing the meaning of "geber" from "mighty men" to "strongest"?Pro 30:30 A lion [layish = old] which is strongest [Geber] among beasts [behemah], and turneth not away for any; THOSE MIGHTY MIGHTY MEN And why would they completely remove any reference to "mighty men" in Psalms 103:20 by changing the meaning to "excel" when it's used in the same sentence as "koach" which is the Hebrew word which does mean "mighty"?: Psa 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel [Geber] in strength [koach = mighty], that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless the LORD, ye his angels, the mighty mighty men that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless the LORD, ye his angels, the mighty Geber that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. You be the judge. If "geber" already means simply "mighty men", why would it be necessary to add the real Hebrew word for "mighty" in the same sentence? THE HIDDEN GEBER ARMY Exodus 14:9 "But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army [chayil], and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-zephon" tells us that the Hebrew word "chayil" [Strong's #2428] means simply "army". But when it appears in context with Geber, many translators changed this simple word to "valor", "very able", "valiant man", and "power", concealing the existence of the entire Geber Army for centuries:And their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; Geber army for the work of the service of the house of God.
2Ch 13:3 And Abijah set the battle in array with an army [chayil] of valiant men [Geber] of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men [Ish], being mighty men [Geber] of valor [chayil]. And Abijah set the battle in array with a Geber army of war, four hundred thousand chosen men [ish]: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with a Geber army of eight hundred thousand chosen men [Ish]. 1Sa 14:52 And there was sore [chazaq = mighty] war against the Philistines all the days of Saul: and when Saul saw any strong [Geber] man [Ish], or any valiant [chayil = army] man [ben = son], he took him unto him. And there was mighty war against the Philistines all the days of Saul: and when Saul saw any Geber, Ish, or any army son, he took him unto him. Nah 2:3 The shield of his mighty men [Geber] is made red, the valiant [chayil = army] men [Ish] are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
Jdg 6:12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man [Geber] of valor [chayil = army].
1Sa 9:1 Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man [Geber] of power [chayil = army].
ALL ISH IN GIBEON WERE GEBER The following Scripture states that all of the Ish in Gibeon were Geber. If Geber means merely "mighty men", then we are to believe that every one of the Ish living in Gibeon were "mighty men", which is akin to saying that all of the men are the tallest men, or all of the women are the prettiest women. It would be believable to say that all of the Ish were soldiers, but it would not be believable to say that all of the Ish are the mightiest soldiers. It would also make more sense if this means that all of the Ish were of one race--Geber:
